"I finally found who am I as a Deaf person. I picked up ASL during H.S. and have been going to my friend’s home where her family is Deaf. So that’s how I got started with ASL. I went to Gallaudet University, a Deaf college where ASL is used only as a mode of communication on campus. Received a B.A. degree in advertising art. Later on became a teacher assistant for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for 2 years. I had a passion teaching Deaf children so I went to Western Maryland College to earn a Masters in Deaf Education. I taught from Pre-K to 8th grade Deaf & Hard of Hearing students in the elementary schools for 5 1/2 years. Taught general language arts, social studies, science, and math in ASL. Recently I worked with a Deaf/austitic Deaf young adult as a Life Coach. I am currently teaching an elementary student ASL and tutoring a H.S. student. I’m tutoring her with her online course and filling in the holes that aren’t covered with their curriculum. I have the Signing Naturally curriculum that can be utilized into lessons or I can utilized what you will need when I evaluate where you are at with your ASL! Basic to advanced I can assist you with that. I love teaching and helping others!

I have taught in general subjects with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students for 5 1/2 years. I would love to tutor a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student using ASL or orally.

I have experiences with ASL for many years and have been immersed into the Deaf World since H.S. I am currently teaching & tutoring 2 students, one in elementary and the other in H.S. tutoring with her online course.

I have worked with a Deaf austitic young adult for 3 years. I was a teacher assistant for a HS Deaf mentally challenged boy and assisted him with life skills. I have been considered Hard of Hearing person growing up until H.S. so I know firsthand about Hard of Hearing.
