I have always loved working with children and have lots of experience both in the classroom and as a tutor!

I am available to help your child in a variety of ways. As an elementary education major, I have knowledge of all of the subjects your students may encounter in grade school. I am up to date with all of the current learning theories and incorporate the best possible tactics and practices into my own teaching and lesson planning. I am very familiar with working with both neuro-typical and neuro-diverse learners. I have spent two summers working at a private school designed to teach individuals on the autistic spectrum aged 18months to 22 years. I am familiar with ABA therapy and IEP plans.

Elementary education is a passion of mine, hence why I am pursing a degree in it! I love working with students who have just begun the learning process. This past spring, I actually had the opportunity to work as a classroom aide and was able to teach a few of my own lessons as practice. I will utilize my own experience coupled with the information I've acquired from my education methodology courses to ensure that your child's tutoring experience is beneficial and accessible.

For the past semester, I have been a student of Dr. Patricia Cunningham, a well-known expert on literacy practices. As a reading tutor, I can draw on practices that I have learned and engaged with throughout my time in Dr. Cunningham's class to ensure that your student is able to advance their reading skills.

I myself am actually dyslexic. If I encounter a student who is also dyslexic, I draw on my own knowledge of tactics and practices that have worked for me in the past in order to ensure that the material is accessible to all students. Additionally, I" less...
