"I have 17 years of experience in education, serving as an English teacher, assistant principal, principal, curriculum director, and educational consultant. My Bachelor's degree is in English Language and Literature for secondary education, my Master's degree is in literature, and my Education Specialist degree and Ph.D. are both in educational leadership. I hold an active teaching certificate in both English and psychology for grades 6-12, my administrative certificate spans grades K-12, and I also hold a central office administration certification. Although I am new to Wyzant, I have tutored high school and college students for many years in English, specifically writing, reading, and grammar; test preparation for the ACT and (P)SAT; and editing/revising essays. I am passionate about education, and I love working directly with students to help them develop the skills they need to succeed both in school and in life. I relate well to students of all ages, and I focus on making tutoring sessions engaging and fun, while helping students better understand and apply relevant concepts according to their needs and goals.
