"I am an award-winning teacher and tutor with 29 years of experience in the field of English Language and Literacy. I am adept at working with linguistically, culturally, and educationally diverse students of all ages. One of the greatest joys of my life is that moment when a bright light goes on in my students' eyes and they understand something that previously baffled them.

I demystify difficult concepts, and both patiently and skillfully guide students to meet and exceed their goals and aspirations. I am excellent at helping students to read, write, listen, and speak better than they ever have before. I also am outstanding at proofreading and correcting writing. I am the former director of one of the adult learning centers of The New York Public Library. I currently supervise a literacy center in Brooklyn.
