"I'm John and am happy to help! I received my bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, with Highest Distinction, and master's from the University of California, Berkeley. I have been a Teaching Assistant for Intro to Circuits, Digital Design and Embedded Systems. I specialize in tutoring Electrical Engineering, specifically:

AC/DC Circuit Analysis, KCL/KVL, Thevenin/Norton Circuits, Resistors/Inductors/Capacitors, Diodes and Transistors, Laplace Transforms, Frequency Domain Analysis, Electromagnetism (E&M), Boolean Algebra, K-Maps, Flip-Flops, Digital Design (finite state machines, counters, Boolean logic, CPU), Multisim, Logisim, Matlab, Python, C#

I am always expanding my subjects so always feel free to send material or seek help even if not listed! It works best for me to help students with specific problems (homework, practice exams, labs) they are struggling with. It is highly recommended for students to provide the material with 1-2 days advance notice. This way, I can work the problems out on my own, free of charge, and be most prepared and efficient for the lesson. I make every attempt to discuss the theory behind the problem in a systematic, step-by-step approach. Furthermore, I like to quiz students on how the approach or solution would change with minor changes to the problem to ensure a firm grasp of the underlying theory.

I am human. Although never intentional, I will make mistakes. I encourage all students to double check the approach and all calculations from each lesson. Please don't hesitate to message me questions if anything is unclear from the lesson or you think something is incorrect. If I do make a mistake, I ask for the opportunity to make it right before you leave any feedback. I pride myself on knowing each student walks away fully satisfied. I understand not all topics are easy and take time to develop, and sometimes require taking a step back to re-learn fundaments. I welcome all feedback to adjust my technique to maximize the impact for each student!" less...
