"Lourine majored in Anthropology and is about to begin her post- graduate life after attending St. Lawrence University, located in upstate New York. Last year she returned from a semester in Kenya with her university where she studied many aspects of Kenyan culture and got an opportunity to meet very interesting people. Anthropology allows her to study people from around the world and discover more about the shared ideas and behaviors that are present among seemingly different communities.

She has had a year of experience tutoring with two schools near her college. There she guided small groups of elementary students needing a boost in reading and math. She understands that all kids have the potential to learn, and loves inspiring their innate curiosity.

After college, she plans to pursue a master’s degree and apply her Anthropology knowledge to the field of public health. In her free time she enjoys reading many books, listening to music and watching movies, as well as being outside." less...
