"I completed my master's in Elementary Education in June 2019

and have my Elementary teaching certification, as well as an ESL and Bilingual Spanish endorsement. I am currently a 2nd grade teacher, and I have previously taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and, 3rd grade, both in-person and remotely. I have also worked as a K-5 day-to-day sub, done intervention work, and worked as a private tutor. Before that, I completed my student teaching in a first grade classroom. In all of these positions, I have worked with students with a wide range of ability levels in math, reading, writing, science, and more. I am certified to work in all elementary grades, but specialize in working with primary students.

Throughout my life, I've worked with kids as a preschool worker, babysitter, ice skating teacher, volunteer, and more. I love watching students progress, as well as the longer 1-on-1 interactions that I don't get as much in a full-time classroom setting.

I attended Northwestern University and double majored in Psychology and Spanish with a 3.7 GPA. After that, I received my master's in advertising from VCU and worked as a copywriter for 7 years. I then decided to switch careers and went back at Northwestern for my MSEd in Elementary Education. I also completed coursework for my ESL and bilingual teaching endorsements at Roosevelt University.

In January 2018, I scored a 168 on the GRE Quantitative section.

In January 2018, I scored a 170 on the GRE Verbal section and a 5.0 on the Analytical Writing section.

I majored in Spanish in college and studied abroad in Seville, Spain for a semester. I am comfortable teaching Spanish from the beginner/elementary to mid-high-school level and am currently teaching in both Spanish and English in a second-grade dual language classroom.
