"I love teaching. I've worked in public schools, both urban and rural, and currently work at an all boys Jesuit HS in Buffalo. I believe all people have the capacity to learn and I'm good at tapping into that human quality. In addition to our innate ability to learn we desire to be recognized for our achievements. The recognition (a good grade, a compliment, etc) drive many of us to want more. I believe the learning process is generative.

I've taught in public, both urban(Bennett HS, Buffalo, NY), rural(Akron HS, Akron, NY) and private(Canisius HS, Buffalo, NY). I've taught all course material mandated by NYS. I've taught Global 9, Global 10, U.S. History, Participation in Government and Economics. As a political philosophy major at Loyola in Maryland, my philosophical foundation affords me a unique approach with course material. I tend to help students make curricular thematic connections to current events immediately. This is a tremendous help, particularly to those that struggle with the feeling of being "disconnected" from history.
