"I am a special education teacher in Colorado Springs. I have been teaching for 10 years as a resource teacher in grades K-8. I obtained my Master's degree in 2015 and recently returned to pursue a Doctorate in Education. I have a passion for teaching students with disabilities and I my goal is to help students identify their unique abilities and challenges with learning and increase their confidence.

My favorite subject to teach is Reading and English/Language Arts. I have received a vast amount of training in early literacy, as well as spelling, written expression, and vocabulary.

I have a both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Special Education, and as a result, i have been very fortunate to participate in professional development courses which have strengthened my skillset in teaching reading. I have been a special education teacher for ten years.
