"I have been a teacher in public schools for 20 years. I have been privately tutoring for over 20 years and have helped over 100 students. I tutor students of all ages, from 5 years old to 60 years old. I teach ELA in school, but I also have expertise with all levels of Math.

I love tutoring because teaching one-on-one is the most effective way to reach students and help them grasp concepts. Working with a student individually allows me to access strengths and weaknesses and develop individualized learning plans that cater to these strengths and weaknesses. I also enjoy the flexibility of tutoring.

I earned a very high SAT score years ago. I have tutored students in Math for 25 consecutive years. I have a thorough knowledge of math concepts, including the "new" math highlighted in the Common Core. Because I have experience with a vast number of students, I have built up resources and strategies to effectively teach students with all different strengths, weaknesses, temperaments, and learning styles. The average increase in SAT scores of the students I tutor is 300+ points.

I have taught English in several grades, from 6th grade to 12th grade, and even Adult Education. I have taught all levels as well, from Basic, to College Level, Honors, and AP. I have a genuine love of literature and am currently working towards my second masters in Literature.
