"I have been in the veterinary field for over 18 years. I have worked in Emergency and Critical Care for 10 years, Medical Oncology for 2 years, relief work in Neurology, Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Internal Medicine, Reproduction, Behavior, and General Practice. I have also been in Veterinary Education for 11 years, 6 of those years being full time. I have previously lectured at conferences locally, such as the ISVMA. Currently I am pursuing my own continuing education as a Veterinary Technologist, and encourage others to be lifetime learners. I hold interests in Fear Free Training, Nutrition, and Conservation Medicine. I have worked towards my specialty in Emergency in Critical Care in 2011. I have a passion in animal enrichment and training. Due to a debilitating medical issue, I was able to train my own service dog, Meeko, to keep me in the field that I love and want to serve for the remainder of my career.

I am a member of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), Veterinary Support Personnel Network (VSPN), Atdove.com, Fear Free, National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America (NAVTA), VetGirl, VetMed, Association of Veterinary Technician Educators (AVTE), International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM), and American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

I’m available for individual tutoring upon request. My special interests are Math, Science, and Pharmacology.

I currently teach math on the college level in anesthesia and surgery which includes multiple aspects of algebra.

I have worked my entire career in animal science. Currently I am an animal science educator.

I am very passionate about education, and completely understand the difficulty of learning hard concepts on your own. I am always here to help and watch you succeed. Asking for help is the first step to success." less...
