"I often see students struggle with math and science due to a lack of foundational knowledge and conceptual understanding – and it’s not their fault! As a tutor, my primary goal is to foster conceptual understanding and critical thinking in order to solve problems at every level. Many of my students have raised their grades by at least a full letter after just one academic term! Additionally, some have even earned math and science awards for their achievements.

My name is Dustin and I'm in my master's program for engineering at Northeastern University. I received a double bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and music from California State University, Long Beach, where I consistently made the Dean’s List for my outstanding grades. In addition to my academic achievements, I also have a wealth of leadership experience, having served as the president of an engineering organization at CSULB and as a section leader for the six-time world champion RCC Indoor Percussion.

All my lessons are conducted through Zoom. I use a virtual whiteboard to demonstrate examples and explain concepts. Any notes I take during the lesson are yours to keep!

My available subjects include Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Elementary Science, Chemistry, Physics, and English Language Arts. I also offer standardized test prep! (AP, SAT, ACT, GED)
