I have also provided substantial transitional/enrichment instruction for students transitioning from high-school to college chemistry, from General Chemistry to Organic Chemistry 1, and students who have not taken Chemistry for many years who need a refresher before enrolling their next course (i.e. Organic Chemistry 2). Many students and their parents express interest in this option, so that the student can begin a challenging course with a skill/knowledge advantage over their peers.

A 2017 and 2018 recipient of the Outstanding Teacher of First-Year Students Award, I have taught Chemistry for a Boston-area institution since 2000, authored standardized-test questions for different U.S. states, and served over a decade in private industry. In 2012, I joined Wyzant's platform to reach more students across my native New England and beyond.

In-person sessions are 2 hours in duration. The increased flexibility of online tutoring allows for any session duration, with 1, 1.5, and 2 hours as the most requested. I guide students step-by-step through key calculations, principles central to mastering chemical concepts, and mechanistic/synthetic strategies in Organic Chemistry.
