I have taught chemistry for nearly 13 years, all at the college level as a professor. My tutoring style is one that is concept driven with emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving and not on memorization or just learning the material to pass an exam or get a good grade. I believe that a focus on students learning the concepts with development and improvement of critical thinking and problem solving skills will not only result in students getting very good grades but also help students retain and apply information and concepts learned in other future courses.

As a tutor, I will be very effective and engaging as much as possible with my student but at the same time present the information and concepts in a way that is easy and fun for the student. I've always had a joy and love of teaching others, especially in the areas of math and science. One reason I enjoy tutoring is that it provides the opportunity to help and meet people. Another reason is that tutoring it helps me as the tutor to see a student's strengths and weaknesses in the area of study that is being taught to the student. Students will do many example problems to ensure that concepts are learned and to eliminate the weaknesses in the given area of study. Most importantly, I want my students that I tutor to have a very enjoyable experience in which they can share their knowledge to others.

I have served as a tutor in math at all levels ranging from junior high school to college students. In high school, I took Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry, advanced mathematics, and introductory calculus.
