"Hello, my name is Steven. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Throughout middle school, I realized that math was my strongest and favorite subject. When I had homework, I always finished my math homework first because I enjoyed solving the problems. This enjoyment for math led to a thorough understanding of many levels of advanced mathematics. I bring my enjoyment and knowledge of math into every lesson with the hope that it affects the student in a positive manner.

My tutoring style is as follows: (1)Pre-Lesson Assessment - Evaluate the student and determine what causes the problems or confusion. (2) Teach Lesson/Theory - I teach the vocabulary, concepts, and theory. (3) Examples - First, I solve problems in a step by step fashion and then I give examples for the student to solve. (4) Post-Lesson Assessment - A post lesson quiz/test to determine what the student learned.

I have multiple years worth of tutoring experience in a college setting. I worked with individuals on the baseball team that were struggling in math. This involved setting up time slots for each individual to schedule around their class and baseball schedule. The subjects included: College Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus. Additionally, I have multiples years of experience helping my little brother through Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry. I apply the same tutoring style (e.g., Pre-Lesson Assessment, Teach Lesson/Theory, Examples and Post Lesson Assessment) now that I applied to my brother.
