"Preparing for your next step in education can be daunting. Whether you are looking toward an undergraduate or graduate program, you face a lot of writing about yourself, and that is something we are not typically trained to do.

As such, my priority as an essay and admissions coach is to help students find their voice in communicating their story so they can be confident in the materials they submit. My imperative is to ensure my students realize their potential as writers and maximize the potential of their stories.

Over the past three years, I have aided several high students with their undergraduate application materials. Together, we have crafted the essays that got them to their dream schools, including Harvard, Yale, the University of Chicago, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Vanderbilt, among others. I have also helped many students with their medical school secondaries and other graduate program applications.

I currently study political science and history at UCLA. This academic background informs the way I coach my students. Writing arguments with perspective and purpose has been essential to my success in my program, and I intend to help my students do the same. After all, most personal statements, and even whole applications, serve as arguments as to why a student should be admitted to a given program. Thus, nothing can substitute strong self-advocacy bolstered by rhetorical prowess and masterful composition.

To achieve this, I work with students to brainstorm, strategize, and outline their essays. Further, I tailor actionable feedback on each draft to the student’s needs and revise essays to highlight the student’s voice. A great admissions essay becomes an exceptional one when it becomes clear that a student has grasped their own voice to tell their own story.
