"A former naval officer, I have been a teacher since 2005. I have training in the following areas: 7-12 Social Studies Education, K-6 Elementary Education, and K-6 Reading and Study Skills Education. Since 2011, I have been a community college Reading an Study skills instructor. I also teach Basic Adult Education and Test Preparation for a Buffalo-based medical training program, covering subjects including basic math, reading, and language arts. My strength is teaching students in a one on one setting, but I also teach full classes of students. I am experienced working with students of all academic abilities, ages, and ethnic backgrounds.

My skill as a one on one instructor has a history of success. Indeed, my success rate on exams and placement tests is close to 100%.

In addition to my teaching, I work as a professional stage actor in the Western New York area. I often bring this energy and talent to my teaching sessions as a way to connect with all types of learners.

I have nearly 20 years of experience tutoring high school and adult students in areas of academic weakness and in test preparation.

I love getting to know students in a one on one setting. I get to know their learning styles to see what area need strengthening. Helping students earn a diploma has become my life's passion.

I tutor adults in test preparation for the Test of Basic Adult Education(TABE). I can bring this experience to help students prepare for the ASVAB exam. As a former naval officer, I would love the chance to help future military members find success!
