"Hello, I am Calista! I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and I am currently in my senior year. I have a 4.0 GPA and I previously graduated with an Associate of Science degree from Dallas College. I have extensive experience in reading and writing for academic and professional purposes.

I have helped some fellow college students over the last few years by offering suggestions to improve their writing assignments, including corrections to their grammar, punctuation, and word choice. I have also helped them by discussing the topics that they were interested in and suggesting ways to connect those topics to their essays and other written assignments.

Since I am a firm believer that strong reading comprehension is the foundation for success in any academic subject, I prioritize helping students understand the assigned reading materials for their classes. Additionally, I am able to proofread papers and offer suggestions for improvement. I am also able to teach students how to apply their own interests and ideas to writing assignments at the collegiate level, including how to find credible sources for their papers.
