"I believe any student can succeed at learning a tricky subject given the right tutor. I look at tutoring each student as a unique situation. Every student understands things in their own ways, and their holes in understanding are unique to them. When I'm tutoring, I try to find the root of what's holding a student back and come up with a solution that works for them specifically.

I have years of teaching experience from my time as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Chicago. There I taught first year chemistry students who had never taken chemistry before in order to catch them up with UChicago's rigorous curriculum. I'm passionate about getting students to that "Aha!" moment in which they finally understand a concept they had been struggling with, and can engage with students regardless of their level of knowledge. I'm approachable and try to make teaching fun.

Do you find biology or chemistry boring? I did too! Bio and chem are taught in such a dry manner sometimes that students have trouble connecting with the material. Having studied biochemistry for 8 years post high school, I have a unique perspective on bio and chem which can make these subjects fun to learn, which I believe is the biggest barrier to success.
