"I have had a passion for Computer Science since grade school. My first programming language was Logo; with Logo I learned how to make the turtle cursor draw various shapes on the screen. From there, I continued following my passion in college where I studied Computer Information Systems and Computer Science. For my capstone project to complete my Bachelor of Science degree I wrote my own interpreter for the Logo programming language, the very thing that originally inspired me to get into Computer Science. While I was in college I had my first experience with tutoring Computer Science. As a tutor, I helped people learn the Java programming language, and I found tutoring to be a very rewarding experience.

Since college, I have had a career working in various Computer Science and IT fields. I started off working in desktop support where I helped people with Windows and Macintosh system issues. I later became a system administrator where I maintained FreeBSD servers. After that I worked as a software engineer doing Python and Javascript programming for the FreeNAS/TrueNAS project where I would later become the team lead for the new Angular based UI. When I discovered Wyzant, I immediately knew that this would be a great opportunity for me to teach others the subjects I enjoy and hopefully learn some new things myself in the process.
