"I am a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst majoring in Microbiology and planning on going to graduate school after. I have taken numerous related courses throughout my time here. I have participated in many different labs with over 2 years of experience being in different labs. I have helped fellow classmates and peers study for exams, practicals, quizzes, and general knowledge check-ups.

I will be a teaching assistant in this upcoming semester for a microbiology lab, helping students to learn lab skills and carry out experiments. I have a passion for learning and I love my major. I enjoy learning new things within microbiology everyday and I enjoy being able to explain concepts and ideas to fellow students who may struggle. When I understand something, it makes me feel good if I can help someone else trying to learn that material. I know how hard it can be to learn something for the first time and be stuck, so I love the idea that I could help anyone in this position by using my own experience and knowledge.

Pertinent courses: Biology 1&2, general microbiology, infectious disease and defense, microbial genetics, general genetics, microbial physiology&diversity, epidemiology, general chemistry 1&2, organic chemistry 1&2, biochemistry, physics 1&2, statistics, and calculus.

I am a very friendly and outgoing person, who loves to help anyone in need of it. I enjoy helping other's learn, and I am very passionate about microbiology.
