"Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a recent graduate of Dartmouth College, where I majored in English and Government and graduated Cum Laude with High Honors in creative writing. I am currently working in LA as a screenwriter, but I am passionate about teaching — at Dartmouth, I worked as a writing tutor for the RWIT center for writing and rhetoric, working with undergraduates across all majors to hone their skills. Since graduating in 2018, I have gained 5+ years of experience tutoring students of all ages, from third grade through college.

My specialties are in English and writing; however, I also can serve as an SAT tutor for any component of the exam, on which I scored a 2370 (800 verbal, 800 writing, 770 math). When I was applying to college, I fell in love with the art of the personal essay and I believe as a result of this passion was accepted to Bowdoin, Carleton, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Mount Holyoke, UChicago, Penn, Wellesley, and Williams — I would love to pass on this knowledge to help students matriculate at the college of their dreams as I did. I believe that writing is a form of self expression, not just a vehicle for great grades.

I have experience working with students of all ages, from third grade to college undergraduates to adult ESL learners. A particular strength of mine is college counseling: students of mine have gone on to earn acceptances from Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard, Yale, Wellesley, Duke, Berkeley, USC, and other top schools.
