"I have been an educator for six years. I was a special-education teacher in a third grade inclusion as well as self contained for four years and I have been a RTI teacher for two years. I have worked with struggling learners, general education students and students with disabilities. I have supported students in their education in grades K-8 and have even privately tutored adults. I am currently working on my Wilson certification and should be certified by June. As a teacher, I look to uncover students strengths and interests and use those skills to motivate and guide them to be successful. I believe that practice and enjoyment in the learning process can go hand in hand.

I am qualified to teach Elementary Math. I am familiar with various styles of supporting learners in their Mathematical skills. I have attended several conferences in addition to teaching Math at the elementary level for six years.

Reading is an important and valuable skill to acquire. I have experience with teaching learners with disabilities, ESL, struggling readers and general populations how to read and how to derive meaning from what they read. My Undergraduate Degree was focused on language and literature. It's a passion of mine to teach a love of reading.

Wilson is a program that supports students reading, writing and decoding skills. In addition, to having experience with this program I am certified Literacy Instructor.

I believe tutoring is one of the best environments for a student to learn because the content is geared toward the individual.
