"Hello, my name is Dillon G. I have recently graduated Grad school at Texas State in Literature. I went to UTPB for my bachelor's degree, which I received in a dual credited English and history. I am quite patient and helpful when it come to learning things. It is a passion that I have, and one of the reasons I went to school. I hope after grad school I can go on to get my PhD, so that I can teach at a college level. I think learning new things or how to do something new is one of the greatest experiences we can have, and I hope that I can show other people how fun it really can be.

I have tutored a few kids while I was in college, and even helped students in classes I was in. First, I try to find the trouble areas that the student has, and from there I try to help the student learn about it. One 7th grade girl that I was tutoring kept saying that she had a problem understanding how to divide fractions, but she didn't really have a problem with that aspect of it. In fact, she understood how to do it well. It was the multiplication that was giving her so many problems. I think that best way to tutor someone in an area like this is to do problems together, let them do some, then come back to it and try to see how I can help. As for other subjects, like history for example, I really just try to make it fun, and that really helps students later on to recall things.
