In May 2004, I completed an M.A. in Human Resource Development from Webster University in St.Louis Mo. Three years later in 2007, I completed an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Math and Physics, from the University of Idaho, again in Moscow Idaho.
My experience includes teaching Mathematics and Physics for North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene Idaho from from May 1998 to May 2014. This overlapped with teaching Math, Physics, and Electronics at ITT Tech from 2000 to 2005. In addition I taught Math on a part time basis for Spokane Community College from 2003 to 2005.
Finally, from 2012 to Present (2017), I have taught Math and Physical Science at Venture High School In the Coeur d' Alene Idaho; School District 271. I hold a current Idaho secondary teaching credential that is good through 2020.
I am very gentle and patient with my students. I believe very strongly in the axiom;" People do not care about what you know; until they know about how much you care." (Madeline Hunter). I am also more than willing to be there for the last minute emergencies like " I forgot there was a test tomorrow". I like most other Mathematicians, I do enjoy the proof, the theoretical, and the developmental processes of Mathematics and Physics; however, I do also recognize that the path or solution to many problems in math and Physics can often be reduced to more direct paths as well; that is to say, you don't always have to study the science, history and evolution of a shovel in order to dig the hole. I am very approachable. I will never cause a student feel any degree of doubt, or fear in themselves, the material or the time spent in finding their unique and often brilliant insights to problem solving. I look forward to he" less...
