"Hello! My name is Mat and I am in year three of pursuing a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. I am very passionate about what I do and where I am. I currently serve as my class vice president, a student ambassador, and an anatomy TA for first year veterinary students and online undergraduate students. I hope to specialize in surgery post graduation. Before attending veterinary school, I graduated undergrad with a Bachelor's of Science in Agriculture with a major in biological sciences and minors in biology and horticulture.

My educational career is tailored to becoming a board-specialized veterinarian. This means that my path led to my learning of many science subjects. Subjects in my undergrad career include: basic & advanced biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and physics. Subjects in my graduate career include physiology, anatomy, epidemiology, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, virology, bacteriology, pathology, surgery, anesthesiology, pharmacology, epidemiology, and so on. In addition to my educational background, I focus on ways I may give back to my community and grow as a leader.

As a result of the rigorous classes I took/am taking, the leadership roles I've held, and the experiences I've gone through I believe that I am highly qualified to teach your student. To be specific, I have tutored current veterinary students, physical therapy students, and nursing students. I have also coached students in the application process for veterinary school!

My main purpose in signing up to be a "tutor" is so that I may equip your student to achieve their full potential. While learning the subject at hand is critical, I believe that it is equally important to be empowered and encouraged as a person so that one may flourish in all aspects of life.
