"My love and experience of teaching came from over 28 years of teaching at mostly the intermediate elementary level. I specialize in helping students become ready for middle school math and reading in a way that keeps them challenged but not overwhelmed. I help my students by working with them at having a better and more rounded understanding of their daily assignments from school, and I provide meaningful practice and homework along with periodic assessments and progress reports.

I often ask for feedback and I will not bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not completely satisfied with my tutoring. I try to be flexible with time as I have a 24 hour cancellation policy and offer make-up classes.

I am happy to travel to your location to tutor your student but ask that a quiet and comfortable study space be provided for me to work with your student.

I have an engineering degree from Purdue University and over 28 years of teaching prealgebra in my elementary math classes.

I have an Elementary Education degree from Central Washington University and certification from the state of Washington to teach all elementary subjects in the state of Washington.

I have a degree in Geological Engineering from Purdue University and many years of teaching elementary science and STEM in my classroom. This has also given me an extensive background in math as any engineering program requires this. I also have a Masters in teaching the creative arts in Elementary from Leslie University.
