"In 2006, I began my teaching career as an art teacher and administrator at an arts program for adults with developmental disabilities. After many years in this field I went back to school for my Master's with an eye on teaching art at the college level. I started tutoring with Wyzant at the beginning of grad school and received my MFA in 2018.
Developing from my experience working with a variety of people with differing learning styles, my teaching style is very focused on the individual I am working with. We follow their path of interest and I make sure to cover the fundamentals of the subject and adapt the content to their educational needs.
I have a basic drawing course that I've developed combining exercises from "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" [Betty Edwards], "Making Comics" [Lynda Barry], and The Virtual Instructor [Matt Fussell].
