"I tutor all levels of French including AP(Language and Literature)and English as a Second Language as well as English/Language Arts to students of all ages. I have a very wide range of experience in the US and France teaching French and English to children from pre-school through High School, College students and Professionals. I was educated at the Sorbonne in Paris and the University of Nice in France. I have enjoyed a very successful 28 year teaching career. Having had the opportunity to teach and mentor students for so many years, I am familiar with all classic teaching methods and materials in addition to current trends and innovative strategies with the goal to motivate, inspire and ensure academic success. I believe that the tutor-student relationship is an optimal way to develop a customized and personalized approach to achieve a student's goals and instill confidence. I have a positive, creative and proactive approach to teaching and, understanding that learning a foreign language can be challenging, I am very patient and highly perceptive when it comes to individual needs and recognizing strengths and areas in need of improvement, and have been very successful at helping my students reach their fullest potential. As literature has always been of great interest to me and I enjoy creative writing, I have helped students write essays, dissertations and term papers as well as improve reading comprehension, thus preparing them for major tests (for English and French) such as the Achievement, SAT, SAT II.
