"I'm a first generation college student at SUU and believe that education is the key to success. I believe in this so much that I am on track to be the first person in my immediate family to get a bachelor's degree and the first in my extended family to earn a master's degree. My eventual goal is to be a professor, preferably of history or anthropology. My higher education background is mostly in Theater (I changed my major), English and History, but in high school I enjoyed advanced and AP science classes.

As a kid when I lived at my parent's house I would do my own homework and then help my siblings (there are 8 of us!) with their work too. I love working with kids and teens, they remind me of my family. As an elementary school student, a teacher of mine assigned me to other students to help them with their homework. I enjoyed helping and wanted to continue, hence the career choice. The best feeling that I get teaching is when something I have said or taught gets through to the student and they are able to share with others what I helped them learn.

I am currently getting a degree in Anthropology, a social science. I like it enough that I want to do it for the rest of my life. In high school I enjoyed taking AP Chemistry and AP Biology. I have an aptitude for science and have enjoyed it since I was small.

I have a knack for spelling and writing, my mother used to call me her personal dictionary. Classic literature happens to be a favorite of mine and AP Literature and AP Language were my absolute favorite, I passed both with flying colors.
