"I love teaching because I constantly see how students thrive if they have the right tools to learn German. In my classes German is comprehensive, fun, and yet straightforward. I like to find ways that make learning German easier, and more time-efficient.

Many students lose interest in learning a language because of a cookie cutter approach. Here, it's the opposite; lessons are very individual and carefully customized to the preferences, weaknesses, and strengths of my students.

Native German speaker, studied Germanistik at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, taught at Green Hedges School, VA., Berlitz School, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Students: Every year I teach a group of students to prepare for their exams. I help them to successfully pass their AP German Language and Culture exams, German CLEP Exams, DSD I+ DSD II exams, A1- C2 level exams (i.e. Goethe Institut). Here, I focus on reading and listening comprehension, speaking, cultural comparison essays, grammar, vocabulary and more. We will go over sample tests and specific worksheets that help.

It’s always great to see when my students succeed, score a 5, are admitted to the college of their choice, or enjoy traveling, studying, working, and living in Germany.

Business: I teach German to business executives, attorneys, physicians, and diplomats focusing on industry jargon and business German.

Another special field is preparing business people for their trip to Germany and helping them to write documents or reports and negotiate business-related matters in German.
