"I grew up in Western North Carolina and moved to Raleigh after attending North Carolina State University. I majored in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in History, specifically the evolution of science and its affect on culture. I did some tutoring during high school, helping students in Summer School pass their EOC tests.

I enjoy helping people learn new subjects or master subjects that they are already familiar with. I always thought I would become a teacher; however, I decided late in high school that engineering was the path for me due to my love of automotive design and fabrication. Funnily enough... I now design food processing equipment and love my job. Life. Am I right?

Mechanical engineering is perhaps one of the most "math-heavy" careers one can do... beaten only by math teachers, theoretical physicists, and those people who design the nerdy math t-shirts. I grew up gifted in mathematics and had completed algebra I, algebra II, and geometry before high school. While in high school, I completed Calculus I and II. In college, I completed engineering statistical analysis, differential equations, and Calculus III. (Calculus isn't like potato chips... I could've stopped at just one.)

A large portion of my job relies on physics and its concepts. I perform force analysis and stress analysis calculations daily. I completed an algebra based physics in high school and calculus based engineering physics I and II while in college. I have also taken statics, dynamics, and machine element analysis through my mechanical engineering coursework. I tutored multiple friends in physics throughout this process.
