"I'm a semi-retired digital marketing professional who currently operates three guest houses in Hudson NY- but began my working career as a teacher.

I retired from digital marketing after the company that I helped found- StreetEasy was acquired by Zillow. Before StreetEasy I worked at CondeNast, Hearst, and TheKnot.com heading up their marketing.

After graduating from Emory University, twenty five years ago, with a degree in English (concentration in the works of Shakespeare) I taught elementary school language arts for two years. Then worked in education advocacy and reform at Teach For America for almost ten years- with a two year stint at the American School of Tangier teaching the 6th grade.

In Tangier I began tutoring middle school students who were struggling with writing and became quit good at helping students become great writers. Time and time again my former students tell me that I taught them to write and become readers.
