"My love of teaching comes from a lifetime of reading, learning, understanding others as well as nurturing others. From working at a school for emotionally and socially disabled students to working at a low SES school, I know how to help all students succeed. I know how to motivate students of all ages and levels and have worked with adolescents as well as children my whole life. I am dedicated to helping a student reach whatever goal it is they have for themselves. I have had the pleasure of watching students grow academically, realize their own potential and an increase in test scores.

I have my B.A. in English as well as a deep love for Literature. I have numerous amounts of tools and activities that I have used with my students that have helped them reach their grade level in reading in just three months as well as to pass standardized tests. I also know how to make writing and reading enjoyable and fun all at the same time. I challenge each individual yet I do not overwhelm them. Progress reports and periodic assessments will be provided as well.

I do not mind meeting in public areas that are quiet and comfortable for you. Furthermore, I hold myself to an extremely high standard and will not bill a student for a lesson in which the student or the parent is not completely satisfied.

I know how hard it is to struggle, but that does not mean that it is the be all end all. I have faith in you and we will get you to the place you'd like to be in. I am down to earth and completely understanding of all situations.
