"I taught at one public middle school in South Korea for two years and three public high schools in Japan over five years. These experiences adjusted my baseline understandings regarding how to best work with my pupils while simultaneously entrenching myself in deep and cross-cultural understanding. Taking from my undergraduate coursework involving literature, writing, and linguistics (English, Latin, and Spanish), I constantly allowed myself to grow both culturally and linguistically. I have an English degree from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Through these milestones, I have learned that international education goes beyond rote linguistic memorization exercises. 7 years had me serve as a cultural ambassador; I know well that role (especially in daily life). Pupils need understanding. They need mentors who care.
