"I started my career as a high school English teacher but I have taught English to adults for many years. I have taught English as a new language in the Continuing Education program at Dutchess Community College and also at the Center for Family Life in Brooklyn and the Chinese American Planning Council in Manhattan. I have worked in an industrial setting teaching English for the workplace in Brooklyn and I have also taught English to college students in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

I am known as a committed teacher and tutor, with patience and creativity. I especially love working with beginner students, and I love seeing my students feel confident in a new language.

I have a BA in English with a specialization in secondary education. I taught high school English for 6 years, and I have over 10 years teaching and tutoring ESL in a variety of settings.
