"Hi, my name is Krista. I graduated from California Baptist University with my Bachelor of Arts in English, earning my single-subject credential thereafter. I also earned a Master of Arts degree from National University with an emphasis in reading.

I have been teaching high school for the last 15 years, all levels 9th to 12th grade. I have also experience in online teaching, working with students 6th to 12th grade. Last year, I was able to score CAASPP, grades 3rd to 5th which allowed me great insight into the testing platform and how to better help my students achieve success.

I offer to not only help students improve their grade for their class, but I also offer to reteach skills pertaining to reading or writing using hands on teaching methods. I am available to work directly with the student’s teacher from school if desired to help get the student find success quickly within the classroom.

Overall, my goal is to make my students comfortable with their content to build their self-esteem. I care about my students emotional health as well their academic success. I have found that by building confidence within my students, their academic success naturally improves.

I enjoy working one-on-one with students to help them succeed. For the last 15 years, I have offered my students tutoring during our intervention time at school for quick one-on-one help.

I always ask students to let me know the content they want to go over during our session so I am able to pull resources to help support.

I do ask for a 2 hour cancellation notice so I can make adjusts within my schedule.
