"I am a patient and knowledgeable teacher, tutor and writer with experience working with students of all levels of aptitude and academic interest. I'm born and raised in New York City, a product of the public schools system. I've worked for many years in both public and charter schools, teaching a diverse group of young learners. I've worked with high achieving students at one of NYC's top Gifted and Talented Programs. I've worked with the diverse population of Jackson Heights, struggling, remedial readers from upper grades, and even recent immigrants from Mainland China, finding academic success with all of these demographics. I also bring to the table an extensive history of working in the arts in NYC, writing for theater, film and television.

I have my certification in 7-12 English Language Arts from City College, a Masters in writing from Columbia University, and a long history of working in the arts and writing in New York City.

If you choose me to work with your child, I guarantee that his or skills in reading, writing, or critical thinking will improve. Your child will develop a greater facility with writing, a love of reading for pleasure as well as for information, and improved problem-solving skills. We will work on a variety of tasks and activities, all aligned with the Common Core, to improve and refine a multitude of skills and abilities.
