"Hi, I am a 47 year old who began learning German at age 14. My high school offered three years of German, and I took all three. Also in high school I spent two Summers in Germany, where my abilities really grew and I began to perfect the accent. In college I majored in German and spent a year abroad in Austria. After college I worked for two years in Austria and Liechtenstein. Then, in graduate school I did an internship at the US Embassy in Vienna. All of these experiences have made me a very competent speaker of German.

I see tutoring as not just a way to help someone learn a new skill, but also it is very enjoyable for me to speak and teach German.

I have patience, a true command of the language, and the ability to explain the language and grammar in English to English speakers.
