"I graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in English and Latin. A short time later, I took an additional 28 hours of college credits of English Education to become certified and highly qualified in Secondary English.

As a non-traditional student, I took Latin in college because you did not have to speak it. I fell in love with the language and the ancient Roman culture, minoring in Latin in college. I have taught Latin for the past three years at a small, rural, STEM school where I have also taught AP Human Geography, Louisiana History, and of course, English!

My experience, training, and work history have given me a deep understanding of the structure, syntax, and semantics of the English language. I am particularly skilled in grammar, mechanics, and writing. I try to make learning these necessary means of communication rewarding and students are often amazed at their own abilities.
