"I'm a patient, dedicated tutor with excellent pedagogical and technical skills. I have been an educator for 9 years at the university level. I taught classes at the undergraduate level at multiple four-year universities and managed classrooms of 20-50 students. I have a BS in information systems, a BS in biology, and a masters in molecular biology. I have collaborated with the local city government to improve their ability to derive insights from the data they have.

I find tutoring to be an extremely fulfilling job and one that I have a natural facility with. There are few experiences more satisfying than seeing the metaphorical light bulb turn on in a student's mind when the concept finally "clicks". In these stressful times education has become more important than ever and it can be difficult to succeed academically with a pandemic disrupting our daily lives. As such, I felt compelled to offer my services to everyone and help young minds reach their potential.

As part of my graduate education I was required to take some statistics courses but also had to seek out new information on the appropriate statistical test or metric when analyzing my data. This required a detailed understanding of both statistical terms and the precise nature of my experiments to be able to perform the appropriate test and interpret the results correctly.

As stated before, I have a masters in molecular biology and maintain close friendships with many of my friends still in academia. I taught labs and lectures at the university level and am familiar with introducing complex topics to beginners and more experienced learners alike.

As part of my teaching experience, I had to review student writing in a technical setting as well as editing for style and content. I have reviewed hundreds of student papers and have consistently improved the quality of students' writing by 1-3 letter grades. I also scored in the 95th percentile in the writing section on the GRE, and 99th percentile in the verbal section.
