"I have always been interested in working with children and helping them reach their highest potential. I begin tutoring in high school at an after-school program for elementary students. I continued tutoring for community based program and private agencies while attending Boston College.

For the past decade I have committed my professional life to the academic development of children. Upon graduating with a Masters in Social Work, I began working as a tutor for a private agency in Miami. Soon, I began teaching elementary school for Gwinnett County Public School. During that time, I have continued to offering supplementary educational services part-time, tutoring over 50 children. Overall, I have nine years of classroom experience and more than a decade of tutoring experience.

I have had a diverse teaching career working with a variety of students including students:

learning disabilities; below grade level performance; on level students; advanced and gifted students; English language learners.

I always begin service by pinpointing individual needs through assessment, examination of standardized test scores, and other school information. Then I develop a student learning plan with specific measurable goals and objectives. I tailor lessons to fit the needs and learning style of students. I aspire to build confidence and critical thinking skills in young people. During instruction, I promote a rigorous and motivating environment that complements the school's curriculum.
