"I graduated Cum Laude with a B.S in Chemical Engineering and later earned an M.S in Chemical Engineering . I also have a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a minor in Pharmacology.
In addition to working in industry, I have taught at the college level for several years and have also taught middle and high school students. Over the years, I have come to realize that a good foundation in math is essential in math-based STEM courses. So, in most of my courses, I start by giving my students a math assessment. I also do so for many of the students I tutor depending on their specific situations. This helps both the students and myself see where their math strengths and weaknesses lie and sets us off to a great start.
My teaching philosophy is that every student learns differently and I aim to reach each student and make their learning experience a pleasant one. I enjoy helping students learn and seeing how far they have come.
I have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and utilize these math areas and many more daily as a process engineer and as a professor of math, chemistry and pharmaceutical calculations. Also, for several years, I have taught Algebra and Pre-algebra to middle and high school students in an after-school tutoring program.
As an experienced teacher, I understand that each student learns differently. I listen for cues from my students and strive to ensure that each student understands the course material presented. Please contact me for more information or with specific questions." less...
