"Hi, I'm Lamina! I'm currently a undergraduate student in SUNY Geneseo, currently majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and Philosophy.

I have one year of experience as a tutor. I've worked at two tutoring institutions: Kumon and Best Score Tutoring; tutoring children ranging from grades 1st-9th. I would help other students with either any homework they may find difficult, helping them prepare for various exams (e.g. NYS requirement exams), as well as teaching new skills and study mechanisms that could help them in the long run.

I've also volunteered at a ESL Program in Washington Street School where I'd help children, whose primary language was not English, with homework, reading, and even encouraging them to engage in fun educational games to improve their English speaking skills.

Through my experience, I've realized the passion I have for teaching and helping others. Although teaching isn't my primary career destination, I would love to keep continuing as just a mere factor of enjoyment and self-fulfillment.

I've always excelled in Algebra 1 in high school and it was also one of my favorite subjects. I have experience tutoring children who need help in Algebra 1, Pre-algebra, and Elementary Math. Most of my students believe I provide them with an easier,explained methods to solve a certain solution.

I've always had a love for writing as a young child and I'm always striving one way in another to improve my writing skills everyday. Through my time in college, I completed an intensive Writing course requirement and have also completed a creative writing class. My writing has significantly improved since.
