"Hello, my name is Ms. Johnson and I have been working in the education field for four years. I studied in Santa Barbara California with a focus on Education and Humanities. I have specialized in Special Education for two years at an elementary school in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Additionally, I have volunteered at an ABA (Autism Behavioral Analysis) facility for two months in May of 2020 and have learned various coping mechanisms to implement into my classroom. My experience in the education field has prepared me for various types of learners including children with autism, ADHD, and gifted students. I would describe my teaching style as patient, understanding and goal-oriented. Reaching my student’s goals are my top priority.

English has always been my favorite subject because I love to read! During my time working with children at various elementary schools I have taught reading, spelling, writing, mathematics, sensory-based physical therapy as well as some social studies and science.

I am certified through the WorKeys teaching program, therefore I have been qualified to teach children ages five to twelve. Additionally, I have volunteered at a preschool this summer and have experience working with three and four years of age.
