"I have tutored students in Math (Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and Trigonometry) and Physics for several years. I greatly enjoy the feeling of seeing the "light bulb" come on when I can clarify concepts for students.

I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Aeronautical Engineering. I have done lots and lots of math and science in my educational pursuits and professionally. I also have 3 adult children who I assisted in their academics.

I like to focus first on understanding the concepts. Too often, students understand the mechanics of solving the problems but not the physical laws (like Newton's laws) behind them. Once the student has a solid foundation, it's time to do problems - lots of them. I gently guide the student, as necessary, by asking leading questions. This approach is successful with most students.

Life is short. I think students of all ages enjoy a light-hearted approach to difficult concepts. The injection of humor helps keep tension low and facilitates progress.
