"Hello I'm Nathan! I graduated with a Ph.D. in Aerospace Systems Engineering in 2022, making the Dean's list and getting a Master's degree as well. I pursued Aerospace due to an early love of math and physics I found in high school, and have been working since high school to spread this love with others! In high school I worked for 2 years as a tutor for Aristotle Circle, tutoring middle and high school students in math; I helped one girl pass the pre-calculus class she was failing and another improve her grade from a B to an A in AP Calculus A. I continued to teach as an undergraduate, serving as a TA in a section of Honors Differential Equations, and a year later, as a TA for a combination complex algebra-computer programing class. Since moving to Huntsville I have worked for Wyzant for the past 4 years; helping student with difficult concepts in math and science. I want to continue to help students.

My favorite thing about teaching is watching the 'light-bulb' moment students have when they go from not understanding something to grasping it fully. I recognize that people have a variety of different learning styles, and will often teach things multiple ways, or ways that are different from the ways presented in the classroom. My passion for mathematics in high school was primarily fueled by the engaging and passionate math teachers I had in high school; I try to channel them and explain things in a more relatable way, as well as make myself completely available to students.

As the result of my years of experience tutoring, I know the best way to get someone to understand something is by getting their input and welcome any suggestions students or parents provide. I also try to provide quick response and can respond within 24hrs. Please feel free to get in contact with me to schedule a lesson!" less...
