"Hi there! I'm Christy and I am a high school English teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Nazareth College and a master's degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English from Stony Brook University. I have taught in New York and Georgia. I love working one on one with students and seeing frustration turn into understanding. There is nothing better than when a student finally understands something.

I am great at drawing connections between real life and pop culture and whatever it is my students are working on in their English classes. I am very good at explaining things in multiple ways so that they are easy to understand. English is my passion and I love sharing that with others.

I am certified in both English and Special Education. I have worked with students with many different types of learning disabilities from ADD/ADHD to Autism and I understand that it takes time and patience. I also understand that taking breaks and going at things from a different point of view are very important when it comes to students who may struggle with focus.
