"I have been blessed with a broad, rich mix of professional opportunities and challenges through my career in education and believe I have grown and learned from each. I have always enjoyed a reputation as a student advocate, a supporter of young people and a person upon whom students can depend. I am a very good listener and invest personally in each and every young person with whom I work. I have tutored many of my students as well as my own children and have a variety of ways of presenting concepts and teaching problem solving.

Along with teaching high school math in Maine, Connecticut and Kentucky, I have supervised and evaluated the high school math teachers in Caracas, Venezuela, where I served as Assistant High school Principal. As Dean of Academics at a school in London, I was responsible for reviewing and updating the math curriculum as well as directing the school's re-accreditation every 10 years. Last but not least, I worked as Associate Director of Admission and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Ivy League universities.

I am a life-long learner and love a challenge. I have a well-balanced sense of self, a commitment to working hard and attending to important details. I am patient and understanding, and believe everyone can learn – yes! even math.
