"I am currently enrolled at Western Governer's University Special Education Bachelor's Degree program. I work as a paraprofessional for students with autism. I have worked for the last 10yrs in the classroom teaching grades K-12. I have a desire and passion for students to succeed in with their life goals.

When I was attending K-12 grades my teachers felt that I could not accomplish the goals of a "typical" student. They lacked belief and understanding for how to motivate me to learn. I finally met a teacher in the 8th grade who did believe in me and who created activities that were engaging and exciting allowing me to excel. This is the attitude that I use with all of my students. Every student has the ability to learn and it's my job as the person teaching to find ways to motivate them to do the best they can.

I have been tutoring since I was in HS and have always found it very rewarding. I can teach almost any subject and enjoy encountering new students and helping them. My way of tutoring usually is to find out what the student enjoys most and be sure to make that a focus of our study plan. To make sure that everyone is on the same page I meet with the students and their parents and we talk about what they would like to improve. We then make a goal chart and work slowly towards it. Teaching is an opportunity to unlocking a student's brilliance.

Math is a subject that builds most people that struggle with math is missing some part of their fundamentals. I make sure to work with students on the basics so that they can understand math on a whole. I

I myself struggle with ADHD but because of this I have been able to learn some key ways to manage learning.
